Digital Creator North is a pilot project in Northern Ontario, built by the Near North Mobile Media Lab, directed at fulfilling a need in northern Ontario for digital media arts education and for teen-oriented spaces. There are six spaces across northern Ontario, each with an artist educator as a program lead. Brittany opened the Elliot Lake location in May of 2017, and worked with the City of Elliot Lake to build and develop relevant programming for the youth of the community.
Programming included computer coding, Adobe Suite exploration, digital drawing, Dungeons and Dragons, and many more activities meant to engage youth in digital media and in creative problem solving.
The Digital Creator North project is supported by the Ontario Arts Council, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and the
